OneNote 2007--turn off audio index
OneNote
Written by Erik Paul Gulbrandsen
Saturday, 26 August 2006

I hope you all know that it is very important that you DO NOT enable audio indexing until the next beta release of OneNote 2007. It will cause OneNote to close every 10 minutes after you have recorded a couple of hours of audio. Supposedly this problem will be fixed in the next Beta release (in a couple of weeks).

To turn it off, go to "tools", then "options". Click on "audio and video". Then, at the bottom you will see a radio button next under "audio indexing" that says, "enable audio and video searching of recordings" (or something similar).

good luck

Intro to Histology Tips

First off, Dr. Rhodes is one of the best professors I have ever had. He knows his material backwards and forwards. If you ever have a question or don't understand, don't be afraid to go to his office. He is very willing to help. He works incredibly hard and diligently to help everyone learn the material. On that note, his tests are tough. You have to know and understand your material. Keeping up is a must in this class. Cramming before an exam won't cut it because they are all cumulative. You need to really learn the material.

To help with learning the material and especially with lab and the image exam there are some DVD's in the Library made by a professor from MU. Just ask at the front desk--they will know exactly what you are looking for. There are only a couple copies, but more copies have been ordered. They are very good and are a great secondary resource. I would recommend watching the video (the topic covered in the lab) before each lab. WARNING: It is not a substitute for lab or lecture!

Bring colored pencils to Dr. J. Rhodes Histology lectures. He will draw pictures on the over-head projector with colors that we help you understand the lecture notes. They are really good!

Good Luck!
