This is a commonly requested feature on the OneNote forums, so I was happy to see the development team write an add-in for the program. The counter will count text words as well as ink on the page.
There may be some us for it somewhere. Click here to read about it.

So, my wife thought it would be funny to take a picture of me studying. Looking back at it, ya, I look kinda crazy. I'll tell you, though, I love the three monitor setup! It makes multitasking very doable...
Sometime in the future I will do a video about using multiple monitors and OneNote. Also, how to use tight VNC to access multiple computers with one keyboard and mouse.
You know, deep down inside, if I could have another monitor hooked up, I would. I'd have it coming off the wall above the others.

I've been wanting to do this for some time, and I have finally gotten around to it. I have made a button on the toolbar that has links to all of the evidenced based medicine tools that the school has purchased for our use. Also, there are links such as MD Consult, PubMed linkout, and Online Textbooks. These links can also be found on my website. The username that you will need to enter is your ATSU username.
Everytime I got the emails about Evidence Based Medicine, I just
deleted them. Now that I'm in second year and the school is beefing up
our needs for EBM searches, I wish I had started using the EBM searches
ealier. Now, here is a very easy way to do this. First years, get started early--your second year classes will have you do this a lot (path, pharm, Women's health, etc...). I just hated having to log into the portal, click on "library", then, go to the "online resources", and finally, choose the EBM source that I always use. So, the toolbar and my website make it fast and easy...
As a note, the Dynamed EBM tool is a trial that goes away at the end of Feb. Let's use it! It is one of my favorite EBM tools (I like STAT!Ref better). I don't want it to go away. I'm so sick of eveybody saying "uptodate, uptodate, uptodate". UpToDate is the least robust of all the EBM tools, and is updated less frequently. SO, why does everybody use it? Ignorance...

My fellow students,
I have added www.guideline.gov to the list of searched websites on my google search engine. So, now, we have these sites (I will add more as I come accross them):
http://guideline.gov
http://acog.org
http://www.timi.org/
www.medscape.com
http://emedicine.com
http://ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
http://nlm.nih.gov
I hope this helps your "evidenced-based searching".

Are you sick of getting letters in the mail from credit card companies? Well, I'm sick of it! The FTC has provided a method to tell the credit agencies (which, by the way, can legally sell your information) that you don't want your info sold. It is a quick phone call, and allows for up to 5 years of "blocking". I highly recommend it!
here is the link
