In this post you will learn how to print to the library printers using your Windows laptop (sorry Mac users, I don't have one--so I am not your best avenue for support). These instructions will help you print to the library printers from your laptop (while you are on-campus AND you have ALREADY connected to the internet). THIS WILL NOT WORK UNLESS YOUR FIRST CONNECT TO THE INTERNET AT SCHOOL, OPEN A BROWSER, AND LOGIN! this is for windows users only: 1. click on start 2. point to printers and faxes (how you get here may very, try going through the control panel if you can't find it) 3. Click "add printer" on the left 4. Click next 5. Click on "a network printer, or printer attached to another computer". 6. Click next 7. Click on "connect to printer on the internet or home or office network" 8. enter http://10.1.22.5 9. In the manufacturer field, click on HP 10. In the Printer field, find HP Laserjet 8150 Series PS 11. If you want it to be the default printer, select yes 12. Finish! Repeat all steps above for the other printer, but enter http://10.1.22.4 as the other printer. You can go in and rename the printer name. 5 is the one on the right. 4 is the one on the left. Remember, you MUST be logged onto the internet for this to work, since you are printing over the internet. good luck erik |
