Dear Friends,
As you have probably followed in the paper, the City Council is wavering about what to do with this issue. If we don't act quick, we could loose everything you all have worked so hard to achieve. We have two council members but for the ordinance to pass we need three. We need your help for a couple of items, see below. First if you could at least call Jill McCord and Martha Rowe and let them know how you feel. They are the two who are wavering. Then we need you to attend the study session monday at 3pm at City Hall, wearing BLUE. And third, I need your help to forward this message to all your friends who may or may not be. Our phone calls and our attendance at the Monday Study Session will help determine if kirksville has clean air. 1) In the attached word document are contact information for the 5 council members. I am asking for you to read the letter and call them or email them a letter of support for the ordinance, the points are made in the letter. A phone call is much more personal, but an email is better than nothing. Or go 100% and do BOTH!! At the bottom of the email I have provided a brief bio of each council member and their views at this point. 2) Attend the next council study session on this topic on Monday at 3pm at Kirksville City Hall, 200 South Franklin Street. PLEASE WEAR YOUR BLUE SHIRT. It will be a great opportunity for you to see policy discussion first hand. We will not ask that any of you make any comments. Your presence in blue is presence enough!! already full inbox. If you have any questions, comments ideas, please email me direct at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Thank you again for your support!
